Dennis Quaid and Rene Russo star in this charming comedy about two childhood sweethearts who are reunited. But between the two of them they have 18 children who don't get along with each other. Co stars Sean Faris and Drake Bell.

• This film was directed by Raja Gosnell, who made his name as the director of some popular family films including Home Alone 3 and Scooby Doo.
• This film is a remake of the 1968 film by the same name starring Henry Fonda and Lucille Ball.
• Miki Ishikawa's character, Naoko, was originally written as a boy. When she was cast the character was changed to a girl.
• In order to prevent the child actors from tensing up, director Raja Gosnell avoided using filmmaking traditions like shouting 'Action'. He found this actually produced a much more spontaneous take from the actors.
