The bumbling French inspector Clouseau (Steve Martin) returns when the priceless Pink Panther diamond is stolen. Along with a team of international detectives he tries to save the day. Co stars John Cleese, Andy Garcia and Jean Reno.

Film Trivia

• Director Harald Zwart did not allow any improvisation on the set of this movie because he didn't feel it would suit the type of comedy. Because of this all improvisations took place during the rehearsal period.
• Steve Martin immediately agreed to reprise his role as inspector Clouseau because he claims he loved the character so much.
• Kevin Kline played the role of Dreyfus in The Pink Panther, but John Cleese replaces him in this film.
• Although set in Paris a lot of filming took place in Boston.
