Film Trivia
- Director/writer J.T. Petty also wrote all of the Splinter Cell video games.
- Director J.T. Petty wanted to make a horror film with creatures that people couldn't run away from. So as opposed to living in a haunted house, the monsters live underground and could strike at any moment.
- One of the most interesting things director/writer J.T. Petty discovered while researching this film is that 40% of cowboys were black and the rest were mainly immigrants.
- Due to the film's limited budget, the monsters in the movie are usually seen only very briefly. Director J.T. Petty claims that the idea was to use the grass in the West, in the same way that water was used in Jaws to conceal the monster.
