Film Trivia
- In the vein of the Muppet movies, this film features a number of notable cameo appearances from stars including Vanessa Williams. Long-time Muppet performers Jerry Nelson and Frank Oz also have prominent roles.
- Because the character of Elmo is so popular, particularly with toy manufacturers, he is the highest paid Muppeteer ever. His contract with the toy companies means that he gets a huge chunk of the profits!
- Writer Mitchell Kriegman was formerly a writer on the long-running sketch show ‘Saturday Night Live’. He has since written episodes of ‘Winnie the Pooh’.
- The Sesame Street set was raised up so that the puppeteers could stand while performing, rather than having to crouch.
