Years after his wife is murdered, a man starts receiving e-mails which seem to show her alive and well. When he is framed for her murder he is forced to go on the run while trying to uncover the identity of her attacker. Stars Kristin Scott Thomas.

Film Trivia

• This film was based on the novel of the same name by Harlan Coben. Coben has a brief cameo in the background of the surveillance footage of Margot at the train station.
• The producers of this film did not want director Guillaume Canet to cast Francois Cluzet in the lead role because they felt he was not a big enough star.
• Director Guillaume Canet is better known as an actor in France. He even appears in this movie as the villainous Philippe Neuville.
• Guillaume Canet was a fan of the book and was heartbroken when he learned that Michael Apted had plans to direct the film. When Apted told him that he had scrapped the idea, Canet immediately called his agent and secured the rights.
• Despite being British, Kristin Scott Thomas can speak French fluently. She even dubbed her own lines for the French release of Four Weddings and a Funeral.
