Angelina Jolie stars as FBI profiler Illeana Scott. She is called in to track down a serial killer who steals the identity of his victims. As she investigates the case she falls in love with a man (Ethan Hawke) who witnessed the killer's last attack.

Film Trivia

• This film is based on Michael Pye's novel of the same name.
• This film was originally set in Vancouver but director D.J. Caruso decided to change this to Montreal as most of the cast members lived near there.
• A scene was shot in which Angelina Jolie's windshield shatters when a branch falls on it. It took a number of takes to get this shot right, destroying the last remaining windshield available for the truck. The scene ended up being cut from the film.
