Turkish (Jason Statham) gets in trouble with a big time criminal when a boxer (Brad Pitt) refuses to take a fall in a fight. Meanwhile a diamond goes missing. As events twist and turn the two stories become intertwined. Co stars Vinnie Jones.

Film Trivia

• Brad Pitt's near incoherent accent was inspired by Benicio Del Toro's character, Fenster, in The Usual Suspects.
• To keep things in order on set, director Guy Ritchie introduced a system of fines. There were fines for mobile phones ringing, arriving late, falling asleep on set, being cheeky, being unfunny and for complaining or moaning.
• Lennie James accidentally hit himself in the crotch with the shotgun in the scene where he blows a hole through the wall of the bookies. Despite this he carried on with the scene and this was the take that appears in the film.
• When Guy Ritchie told Brad Pitt he would be playing a boxer, Pitt was concerned because he had just made Fight Club and didn't want to be stereotyped. Despite this, Pitt wanted to work with Ritchie so badly that he agreed to take the role.
• A look-alike was used to stand in for Vinnie Jones character one day because Jones had been arrested and was in jail for fighting the night before.
