• The title of this film comes from the theme of the 1939 New York World's Fair.
• It took six years to create this film, which started life as a six-minute short film that director Kerry Conran had made.
• In preparation for her role, Angeline Jolie met with dozens of British WWII veterans and pilots in order to adapt the proper mannerisms of her character. She also added pieces of slang to the script, that were used during the era.
• Laurence Olivier was digitally recreated to appear in this film. This was Jude Law's idea as he claims that he always wanted to work opposite Olivier, and director Kerry Conran granted his wish.
• Because the film was shot using blue screen and no sets were used at all, filming was completed in just 29 days.
