After taking the title from Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers), Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) is enjoying life as heavyweight champion of the world. But when he discovers that his recent bouts have been fixed, he must retrain to fight a tough new opponent (Mr.T).

Film Trivia

• Real-life heavyweight champion Joe Frazier was considered for the role of Clubber Lang, before Mr. T got the role.
• Before settling on the film's iconic song, Survivor's Eye of the Tiger, Sylvester Stallone wanted to use Queen's Another One Bites The Dust.
• Mr. T claims that he took his mother to this movie's premiere. During the scene where he shouts lurid things at Adrian, his mother turned to him and said 'I did not raise you to talk to a lady like that'. She then got up and stormed out of the cinema
• Because Rocky's life is so different in this film from the first two, Sylvester Stallone wanted the film to have a different look. Since Rocky has no privacy, Stallone filmed with hand held cameras to make it seem like an intrusion into his life
• Wrestler Hulk Hogan initially thought it was a joke when he was offered a role in this film. But when he received a personal letter from Stallone he signed up immediately.
