Film Trivia

• During filming a paramedic was kept on set to make sure that Mr. Orange's (Tim Roth) blood loss was kept consistent and realistic to that of a real gunshot victim.
• Quentin Tarantino wrote the role of Mr. Pink with the intention of playing it himself. But instead Steve Buscemi played the role and Quentin Tarantino took the role of Mr. Brown.
• Michael Madsen found it hard to film the torture scene. When Kirk Baltz improvised the line about having a kid at home, Madsen was unable to finish the scene because he was so disturbed by the idea of leaving a child fatherless.
• Mr. White says to Mr. Pink 'I need you cool. Are you cool?'. This was added to the script after a confrontation between Michael Madsen and Lawrence Tierney. To break the scuffle Quentin Tarantino said these words to Lawrence Tierney.
• Samuel L. Jackson auditioned for the role of Mr. Orange but it went to Tim Roth. Quentin Tarantino was so impressed by Jackson that he cast him in his next film, Pulp Fiction.
