Film Trivia

• While filming, director Garry Marshall repeatedly called Kate Hudson, Goldie. This was because he kept confusing her with her mother, Goldie Hawn, who he had directed in Overboard. Hudson decided to fine the director every time he made the mistake.
• Kate Hudson was pregnant during filming and in one of the last scenes you can see her touch her pregnancy bump.
• The referee for the hockey game is introduced as former Olympic skater Scotty Buttons. His name is a combination of Scott Hamilton and Dick Button who were gold medal winners at the olympics for the US.
