Film Trivia
- Despite the film's story, director Paul McGuigan wanted to make the film as realistic as possible. He tried to use as little CGI as possible and claims that the only time green screen was used was for people driving.
- Several of the Hong Kong street scenes were shot guerrilla style with concealed cameras amidst real crowds.
- The idea of the government controlling people with special abilities for military purposes is based on the US government's long-running Stargate Project.
- The scene where Camilla Bell's character, Kira, is kidnapped in front of a crowded street, was shot with no visible crew members around. Despite this, no passers-by reacted to her kidnapping.
