A luxury cruise ship is hit by a wave on New Year's Eve. As the ship starts to sink a group or survivors band together to find a way to safety. Stars Josh Lucas, Kurt Russell, Richard Dreyfuss, Jacinda Barrett and Freddy Rodriguez.

Film Trivia

• Josh Lucas was injured while filming a scene with Kurt Russell. Both actors were filming an underwater scene and Russell accidentally smashed a torch into Lucas' head, injuring his eye.
• Many members of the cast and crew came down with minor infections during filming because of the amount of time they spent in dirty water.
• The interior shots were filmed on two separate sound stages. On one stage the ballroom set was built the right side up and on the second stage an identical ballroom set was built upside down.
• The upside-down set was built on top of a large water tank in the sound stage so that it could be filled with water and drained in a matter of hours.
• Only one day was spent on exterior filming and this was to get a shot of Josh Lucas jogging.
