What begins as an ordinary day turns deadly for a radio DJ. A virus has infected his small town, turning everyone insane. As people start committing shocking acts of violence, the DJ tries to discover what has caused the outbreak and if it can be stopped.

• Director Bruce McDonald claims that this is not a zombie film and that he didn't refer to the infected people as zombies while on set. Instead, he called them 'conversationalists', due to their bizarre way of speaking.
• Director Bruce McDonald started out directing episodes of The Bill and Queer As Folk.
• Screenwriter Tony Burgess adapted his own novel of the same name for this film.
