A villager (Tony Jaa) heads to the criminal underworld of Bangkok. A master of martial arts, his mission is to retrieve a stolen Buddha statue that belongs to his village. As he fights his way past thugs, the bodies start to pile up.

Film Trivia

  • No wires or CGI were used for any of the fight scenes in this movie.
  • Thai language graffiti can be seen in a number of scenes, referencing directors Luc Besson and Steven Spielberg. One piece of writing says 'Hi Luc Besson, we're waiting for you' and another says 'Hi Spielberg, let's do it together'.
  • Tony Jaa performed all of his own stunts in this movie and trained extensively in the ancient art of Muay Boran for four years in preparation for this film.
