Film Trivia
- Director Peter Sollett has said that John Hughes films had a big influence over him while making Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist.
- The authors of the novel on which this film is based, Rachel Cohn and David Levithan, have a cameo appearance in the Veselka dinner scene, sitting at a table.
- Michael Cera and Kat Dennings were asked to improvise a lot during filming. This was so it would seem more natural as their two characters got to know each other.
- Because the film was shot on location in New York, director Peter Sollett had to film at night in order to access some of the busier streets.
