Struggling farmer John Rollins (Norman Reedus) places a scarecrow among his crops. But when the scarecrow comes to life it starts killing anyone who gets in its way. As John starts to fall under a curse, the lives of his family are threatened.

Film Trivia

• Although set in the US this film was shot entirely in Bulgaria. Every set was built, including the house, the barn and the corn field, on location.
• The story for this film was originally going to be the plot for the first film, starring Kristen Stewart. But after numerous rewrites the story was changed for the first film and the scarecrow concept reappeared in this film.
• This film marks the English language debut for Danish director Martin Barnewitz.
• This is the second film written by Todd Farmer, his first was 2009's My Bloody Valentine. He also came up with the story for The Messengers.
