The patients of a sexy psychiatrist are being killed in satanic rituals. It appears to be the work of a serial killer who likes to tattoo his victims. But as the detective gets closer to the truth he discovers biblical prophecies linked to the murders.

• The alternate title for this film is Polycarp. This is a reference to Polycarp of Smyrna, a Christian Bishop. He died a martyr when he was stabbed after an attempt to burn him at the stake failed.
• While filming a scene where a body is found dead in an alleyway, many passersby mistook the set for a real crime scene.
• The courtroom in this movie was the same courthouse used in On The Waterfront.
