• More than 100 models were built for the exhibitions inside the House of Wax. Only four of them were built purely from wax while the rest were made from silicone and fibreglass
• Throughout the movie several characters can be heard saying 'That's hot'. This is Paris Hilton's catchphrase in real life. Paris Hilton stars in this movie as Paige.
• The melting wax bed that Elisha Cuthbert's character gets stuck in was sculpted from peanut butter.
• Paris Hilton was so embarrassed by the sound of her scream that the first few times she had to do it on camera she asked the cast and crew to scream with her.
• The town where the film is set is fictional and was built in ten weeks in a cow paddock in Queensland, Australia.
