Harold (John Cho) and Kumar (Kal Penn) are two stoners. After seeing a TV advert they set off to find the perfect hamburgers. But they encounter a number of obstacles on their all-night journey including a racist police officer and a sex-crazed carjacker

Film Trivia

• This film was called Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle for its US release. White Castle are a chain of fast food restaurants in the US.
• Neil Patrick Harris plays a character called Neil Patrick Harris and is credited as such rather than being credited as himself. This was done to make it clear that he was playing a parody of himself.
• For the vent scene, walnut powder was used to substitute dust. But as Kal Penn was allergic to nuts, the dust was made out of chocolate powder instead.
• Kal Penn is a vegetarian so special veggie burgers were made for him.
