Sean Porter (Dwayne Johnson) is a probation officer at a juvenile detention centre. The inmates have no prospects and very little belief in themselves. But Porter is desperate to get through to the violent youths and so he teaches them to play football.

• Before an injury forced him to quit playing American Football, Dwayne Johnson was a promising player for the Miami Hurricanes.
• Most of this film was shot on location at the L.A. County Probation Department's Camp Vernon Kilpatrick.
• Director Phil Joanou is also known for directing music videos for U2 including One and When Love Comes To Town.
