Will Hunting (Matt Damon) is a college janitor, but he has a special gift for mathematics. Robin Williams stars as the psychologist who tries to help him use his gift to better his own life. Co stars Ben Affleck, Casey Affleck and Minnie Driver.

Film Trivia

• Minnie Driver's character, Skylar, was named after Matt Damon's girlfriend at the time. Skylar left Damon before filming began and both Damon and Driver became romantically involved during filming.
• Robin Williams' last line of the film, 'That son of a b***h, he stole my line', was improvised.
• After winning an Oscar for his supporting role, Robin Williams sent Peer Augustinski, who dubbed his voice for the German version of the film, a small replica of the statue with a note saying 'thank you for making me famous in Germany'.
• Director Gus Van Sant asked Matt Damon and Ben Affleck to rewrite the script so that Affleck's character died in an accident. They thought it was a terrible idea but rewrote it anyway. When Van Sant read it he agreed that the idea was terrible.
