Film Trivia
- The musician Bobby Brown has a cameo appearance as the Mayor's doorman.
- There is a shot of Ecto-1 nearly breaking down at the beginning of the film. This is fitting in that while filming some scenes for this movie the car really did break down.
- Slimer has a cameo appearance in this film. This was because the cartoon series which came out after the first Ghostbusters introduced the idea that Slimer was living as the Ghostbusters' pet.
- Director Ivan Reitman's son, Jason Reitman, appears in this film as the boy who tells Ray that the Ghostbusters are 'full of crap'. Jason Reitman went on to direct such films as Juno and Thank You For Smoking.
- The hidden subway line that Ray discovers when the Ghostbusters lower him beneath the street actually exists under Manhattan.
