Satire about a French politician (Severin Blanchet) who resigns from his government job to live on his rich mother's money. He begins exploring the luxuries he had never before encountered such as booze, women, guns and exotic wild animals.

• Director Otar Iosseliani was inspired to make this film after visiting the chaotic offices of the culture ministry during the period when Francois Leotard was taking over from Jack Lang in France.
• This film marks the acting debut for Severin Blanchet, who plays Vincent.
• Director Otar Iosseliani deliberately chose actors whose personalities could not be read by their faces. He also chose the least picturesque Parisian locations for the film.
• Director Otar Iosseliani also stars in this movie as Arnaud, Vincent's old drinking buddy.
