God (Morgan Freeman) tells Evan (Steve Carell) that a flood will cover the earth. As Evan begins to build an ark he becomes the centre of attention for the world, while his family try to decide if he is crazy or not. Co stars Jonah Hill and Molly Shannon.

Film Trivia

• When God (Morgan Freeman) is talking to Joan in the restaurant, his name tag reads Al Mighty.
• The production of this film was environmentally friendly, offsetting all of their carbon emissions. Most of the time crew members rode bicycles instead of using cars to travel around.
• While filming the scene where Evan's young son is moving logs with a baboon, the baboon got out of control. It jumped on the young boy's back and knocked over piles of wood, shutting down production for the rest of the day.
• During filming, a curious giraffe took a bite out of the styrofoam ark. Without injury the giraffe spat it out and went about its business.
• CGI lions were used for the scene where they scare off the reporters. So that the actors would have something to look at, two large stuffed toy lions were used.
