Young vet Maya Dolittle (Kyla Pratt) gets caught up in the glitz and glamour of Hollywood when she is given her own TV show. She becomes a dog whisperer to help a celebrity starlet's depressed chihuahua. But Maya soon discovers the bad side of Hollywood.

• Kyla Pratt has starred in all four Dr. Dolittle films. Although she only became the main character in the 3rd and 4th films.
• Tegan Moss, who plays the celebrity starlet who calls Maya to Hollywood, was the actress who played the young version of Dana Scully in a number of X-Files episodes.
• Brothers Steven Altiere and Daniel Altiere wrote this screenplay together. They have also written a number of other kids films and television shows.
