Film Trivia

• This film was originally entitled Simon Says and was considered as the third sequel to Lethal Weapon.
• Laurence Fishburne was the original choice to play Zeus but turned down the part. By the time he reconsidered it was too late because Samuel L. Jackson had already taken the role.
• Director John McTiernan considered editing out the opening bombing from the film because he felt that for some people it might be too soon after the Oklahoma bombing.
• Sean Connery was offered the part of Simon Gruber. He turned the role down saying that he didn't want to play such a diabolical villain.
• Samuel L. Jackson's appearance in this film was modelled on Malcolm X.
