A workaholic father (Adam Sandler) finds a remote control that can rewind, fast forward and pause his life. But when he starts using it too much he discovers that the remote has taken control of him. Co stars Christopher Walken and Kate Beckinsale.

• Drew Barrymore was originally cast as Donna but Kate Beckinsale replaced her. Adam Sandler had previously worked alongside Drew Barrymore in 50 First Dates.
• Christopher Walken, who plays Morty, dances during the movie. Walken is a trained dancer and always tries to include a dance move in his films, no matter how brief.
• The coin trick that Henry Winkler performs in this movie is one he often does in real life. During public appearances he usually does the trick for children.
• In the graveyard scene at the end of the film, the names of some of the crew members can be seen written on the tombstones.
• This film marks one of Jonah Hill's earliest roles, playing the 17-year-old version of Ben Newman. He went on to make a name for himself in comedies including Knocked Up.
