In this movie based on the hit television series a Hollywood star (Will Ferrell) hunts for a girl to star alongside him as a witch in his latest movie. He ends up casting a beautiful woman (Nicole Kidman) without realising she really is a witch.

Film Trivia

• Other actresses considered for the role of Isabel included Jennifer Aniston and Gwyneth Paltrow. Jim Carrey was also considered for the Jack Wyatt role.
• Nicole Kidman was told not to twitch her nose in public until after the film was released. She finally relented after much pressure from Jonathan Ross on his show Friday Night With Jonathan Ross.
• When the song Ding Dong the Witch is Dead plays at the party, Judy Garland roses can be seen on the table.
• In one scene Will Ferrell is being interviewed by James Lipton on the show Inside the Actor's Studio. Will Ferrell is known for doing impersonations of James Lipton on the show Saturday Night Live.
