Woody Allen's Oscar-winning tale about a neurotic man named Alvy (Allen). Alvy has just broken up with his girlfriend Annie (Diane Keaton) and through a series of flashbacks, reflects on the failed love affair trying to figure out where things went wrong.

Film Trivia

• The scene where Alvy sneezes into the cocaine was an accident, but audiences enjoyed it so much that Woody Allen decided to keep it. He had to add some extra material after the cocaine scene in case people were laughing too hard to hear the next joke
• This film beat Star Wars for the Best Picture Award at the 1978 Academy Awards.
• Both Jeff Goldblum and Sigourney Weaver have very brief cameos in this film. Goldblum is the party guest who mutters 'I forgot my mantra' and Weaver plays Alvy's date at the end of the movie.
• Ben Stiller claims that the scene where Alvy meets Annie's parents is what inspired him to make Meet The Parents.
• Diane Keaton's real name is Diane Hall and her nickname is Annie. This is how the name for her character was chosen.
