Film Trivia
- To prepare for his role as a junkie, Ben Foster asked one of his friends, who was once a crystal meth addict, for guidance. His friend introduced Foster to a group of people who gave him an all-access pass to their life.
- This film begins with real home video footage of most of the cast members when they were children.
- This film is based on the true story of drug dealer Jesse James Hollywood, who at the age of 21 became one of the youngest people ever to appear on the FBI's Most Wanted List.
- So that he would appear high, Ben Foster added glaucoma drops to his eyes for most of the shoot to dilate his pupils. He would also hide in the bushes at night and cover his eyes between takes to keep the light from shining into them.
- In the scene where their characters have a fight, Sharon Stone hit Ben Foster so hard that his nose started bleeding.
