Film Trivia
- In some territories such as Australia, the film was released as ‘Flying High’, the official reason being that they were called ‘aeroplanes’ and not as the Americans spell it.
- Christopher Lee claims in his autobiography that he turned down the role of Dr. Rumack which later went to Leslie Nielsen.
- The opening credits sequence is a direct reference to and spoof of the film 'Jaws'. The tail of the plane doubles as a dorsal fin as it glides through the clouds.
