Josh Flitter stars as Ace Ventura Jr, the son of the legendary pet detective. Like his father, he makes it his mission to take care of animals. So when his mother (Ann Cusack) is accused of kidnapping a baby panda, Ace jumps into action.

Film Trivia

• This is the first film in the Ace Ventura series not to feature Jim Carrey.
• Filming took place at Universal Studios Theme Park in Orlando. Visitors to the park were able to see the various animals used in the film being walked through the park during filming.
• Ann Cusack plays Ace Ventura Jr's mum, Melissa, in this film. In Ace Ventura: Pet Detective the role was played by Courtney Cox.
• When Ace Ventura Jr. Is looking through the scrapbook of Ventura history, he comes across articles headed 'Dolphin Case Closed' and 'Ventura Solves The Great Fish Caper'. This is a reference to the first Ace Ventura movie where Ace saves a dolphin.
• There was a skunk on the set of this movie, but its sprayer was surgically removed so it would not make the set smell.
